Prerequisites

  • Latest version of Go: required if installing via go install or building from source
  • git: must be installed and available on your PATH; ghorgsync executes git commands to clone, fetch, and pull repositories
  • GitHub authentication: one of the following:
    • GITHUB_TOKEN environment variable (highest priority)
    • GH_TOKEN environment variable
    • GitHub CLI (gh) authenticated session (used as fallback)

Installation Methods

There are several ways to install ghorgsync:

Download Binary

Download pre-built binaries from the GitHub Releases page for the latest version.

GitHub release

Choose the appropriate binary for your platform and add it to your PATH.

Install Using Go

Install directly from the Go toolchain:

go install github.com/UnitVectorY-Labs/ghorgsync@latest

Build from Source

Build the application from source code:

git clone https://github.com/UnitVectorY-Labs/ghorgsync.git
cd ghorgsync
go build -o ghorgsync
